Lisa Henschel
Owner/Chief Auditor
With a background in education and legal research and a Masters candidate in Forensic Accounting, Lisa Henschel founded Loan Audits CAL and currently oversees and researches all audits and mortgage loan reviews.
After graduating two years ahead of her class, Lisa entered college at 16 with a computer Science major and teaching in mind. She passed the CBEST examination at 19 and after attending California State University, Northridge and Los Angeles, got her degree from Regents College in New York.
Lisa's interest in auditing began when she herself had trouble with her mortgage and tried to obtain a modification of her loan. At this time, lenders scoffed at the notion of changing an interest rate or lowering payments. With few options left, Lisa researched the Truth in Lending laws and others pertaining to loan documents and lender responsibilities. She was able to get her lender to cancel the foreclosure on the strength of her audit alone - with no attorney involvement. It was then that she decided to help others going through the same ordeal.
Lisa Henschel is one of the nation’s few loan auditors who can appear in court and give strong testimony to assist in winning a difficult case, which is a skill that has proven to be priceless for our clients. Renowned for her concise explanations of the complex legal and contract terms regarding real estate case law, Lisa is an invaluable asset as an auditor, consultant, and experienced professional.
In addition to Loan Audits CAL, Lisa Henschel also provides seminars to homeowners, loan modification professionals, and real estate attorneys providing invaluable information regarding Forensic Loan Auditing and how to utilize recent case law to most effectively negotiate with lenders.
Lisa's other full time job is being a mother to her 4 year old son.
Chris Martinez
Director of Sales and Marketing
A proven leader in a variety of industries and sales environments, Chris Martinez comes to Loan Audits CAL with the mission of discovering and educating clients who can significantly benefit financially and professionally by working with Loan Audits Cal.
Upon graduation from University of California, Santa Barbara, Chris began a successful career with a major Fortune 500 corporation where he quickly became one of the youngest sales managers in the nation. Looking to further his knowledge of the business world, Martinez then moved on and became a regional sales rep for an up-and-coming medical sales corporation targeting the heat-stress market. Becoming the first outside sales person for this firm, Martinez dramatically increased sales in both the business-to-business and business-to-consumer markets before creating his own publishing company in 2007.
After selling in a variety of industries and and for a number of companies, Chris Martinez joined Loan Audits Cal to create a specialized loan auditing company that is driven by a passion to provide clients the personal attention they require during this difficult time and help them financially recover and avoid foreclosure. Martinez is steadfast in his determination to help the thousands of Americans who are currently in danger of losing their property and promises to always go the extra mile to help our clients at Loan Audits CAL.
While away from the office, Chris enjoys playing and coaching soccer as well as spoiling his 3-year-old golden retriever "Nola".
